Once words were said,
Now sent in silence
Once they were stories and scriptures and psalms,
Now just spoken through a silvery screen,
No meaning or emotion the origins forgot,
Greek, Scandinavian, French, German,
Even those that are lost,
Like Gaelic or latin,
All came together in today’s words,
History makes language so who knows what will change,
Ġewinn hold cliwen,
Or preventure even lyk this,
Howev’r some magical way,
It can end up just like this,
δείτε τη δύναμη των λέξεων (see the power of words),
non semper est cur loquimur (is not always why we speak),
no ciamar (or how),
But rather the words and where they came from,
So i leave you with that,
Whenever you speak,
Always think of the battles,
The people,
And machines,
that molded your life and your future.
