EEEKK EEEK EEEEK EKKKK

There I was laying on concrete ground the cold humid air piercing into my pale skin a rain of hot ash tickling my skin. I felt anaesthetized. I tried to gather my thoughts but nothing seemed to be able to come to mind; it was just a misty blur.

Desolate.

I brought my body up. I studied my view: there were tall futuristic buildings looking down at me, deceased corpses, the sun burning into the fractured horizon.

Where am I?

How did I get here?

A blood-curdling sensation started to haunt me. In the distance a mysterious figure lurked in the distance. A human? Maybe they can help me.

CRACK

I turned around to look at the red crimson liquid slatted across the ground and remembered.

Humans are extinct…

We were in a zombie apocalypse. Many years ago there was a radioactive explosion. One that banished most of the human population off the earth leaving rotten bloodthirsty creatures devouring the rest of the population.

I abruptly turned around. There it stood his blank rotten eyes full of greed and hunger staring at me like I was its last meal.

There was no escape now…
