‘I have the power’ by Charlie

Running toward the hazy mist, I screamed “split up!” We had been running for what felt like days. Legs trembling, arms burning, chest thumping. I didn’t know what to do or where to go. We were in the middle of the woods, the snow layering onto the thick, boggy ground. I could hear the dogs barking, I could see the police lights piercing into my eyes. I don’t know what I had done wrong. I didn’t have anything on me, no weapons, no drugs…  Water! That’s it ever since the Robotica police force was introduced, water outside of your home was banned as it was seen as a possible threat towards the police force. Stupid rules if you ask me but I didn’t have much of a choice. Sitting behind a rock I began to think all my life I have felt powerless, first my parents and now this new police force. All of these people and robots alike have that one thing in common. Power. That’s all anyone wants power because with enough power you can do anything no matter who you are, what you look like or even how old you are. “Sir we know you’re behind that rock come out and put your hands where I can see them!”

“What do i do, What do i do.” I whispered

I stood up and faced my fears, my worst nightmare. Obeying the people I hate. People with power
