Are you for real?
The silence of the room,
The tapping of the screens,
Echoing in the gloom.
When the clock hits ten,
its time for bed,
No one looks up,
not a word is said.
No sweet goodnights,
No calm lullabies,
Just endless thoughts,
Of sorrowful demise.
Finally, they fall asleep,
No sound from the room,
While the children quietly weep,
They see shadows lingering in the gloom.
Waking up, to the droning of the phones,
They go for breakfast as their headaches grow,
They let out a moan, then a groan,
This is why you shouldn’t spend
Too much time on your phones.
