A phone rang out, I heard the tone,
I couldn’t do anything. I was all alone.
Its pitch was off, the meaning was clear,
Like it was whispering something in my ear.
Then something shifted in the sound,
A silent chill grew all around.
My pulse raced, My chest rose,
Who I was with, nobody knows.
A clever spy of flesh and bone,
Or perhaps the problem laid right in my phone.
The scary truth we have to face,
Is that a synthetic model could take my place.
Regarding my frightened worried state,
I let the wires decide my fate.
I traded my time for ungodly schemes,
Just for AI to haunt my dreams.
It reads the thoughts right through my head,
Before anything else can be said.
It counts my ticks it learns my face,
Before I know it, it predicts every step I take.
I feel so trapped, it knows the deal.
And so I ask: Are you for real?
