Spencer is a independent, strong, young woman, smart yet easily influenced by digital society. She looks up to popular influencers and believes everything they say, simply because they have an abundance of followers. Young, clueless people just like Spencer trying to be someone they aren’t. Spencer doesn’t understand how dangerous the internet is and how easily it can brainwash people of society, especially young people. In late 2019 during Covid-19 lock down, scammers swarmed social media trying to break down the most vulnerable. Children. Unfortunately, due to Spencer’s gullibility, her computer was raided with viruses, taking over her computer and gaining access to all her personal details. However the scammer wasn’t unknown, it was an extremely popular influencer who ran a children’s platform on YouTube, named Ruby Rube. Displayed as an innocent 13 year old girl on camera but an evil, manipulative cybercriminal behind the screen.
